Benzotriazole (BTA) is mainly used for anti-rust and corrosion inhibitor of metals such as copper, lead, nickel, zinc etc.
It is widely used in anti-rust oils (fats) which protect the corrosion of copper & the alloys. It can also be added in lubricants, wastewater treatment agents, antifreezes for automotive.
Moreover, this product can be used in conjunction with other inhibitors, disinfectants etc.
